| AP press release Oct 1 2010 San Francisco CA Ladies and Gentlemen as the new ownership group managed by Chris Lacob, we are pleased to announce the new general manager of the Golden State Warriors. Ed Colson is renowned as a man who played some junior high basketball and is now a largely disinterested fan. However he does have an engineering and mathematical background that includes an extensive use of statistics, and he can balance his checkbook. This is important, because we will be dumping salary initially like the New Orleans Hornets... | |

| Excerpt from Ed Colson's personal blog, Unruly Mob. So I was talking to Mick, the new head of the scouting department, about the team and I said, "To be brutally honest we have a good point guard, a good shooting guard, a glut of crappy small forwards, a jump shooting power forward who makes too much money, a Center who rebounds and makes too much money, all without playing much defense. To add to that, we have a crappy bench with only one descent prospect, a jump shooting power forward who doesn't play defense."
Times are not good in Warrior land. Time to trade away salary. I got the owners to let me keep the two guards, but the rest...

| Excerpt from the blog: Ok, so I have a tentative deal with the Bucks, Bogut, Delfino, Boykins and Milwakee's second round pick for David Lee and Bedrins and next year's first round pick.
This trade cuts Bedrins salary from my books after this year with the expiring contracts of Delfino and Boykins.

I've sent a fax to the other GM's around the league, it's a sign that says 'Yard Sale', so as i'm done soliciting trades, I will remain open to other trades as the season progresses.

So I get a call from Billy King, he offers me Tony Battle, two second round picks and Jodie Meeks for Earl Boykins and Reggie Williams. I of course accept this trade proposal.
I plan on putting having Nellie put Jodie through extensive shooting drills to help his shooting regain the form it had at Kentucky.

| Blog Excerpt: So Billy must have known something. Battie tore his MCL in his first game as a Warrior, and is out for the season. At this point we are 6-11 and only 8.5 games back on the lakers... | |

| Blog Excerpt: WOW!!! We've made the playoffs with Radmonivich starting 82 games... Needless to say In the playoffs we're going to start the ROY candidate Ekpe Udoh in the power forward slot. He has slowly earned minutes away from Vlad, but we feel that he has earned the ability to start in the playoffs along with Curry, Ellis (back in time for the playoffs, barely) Meeks, and Bogut. We're going 8 deep for the playoffs. Wish us luck against the Lakers. | |

Game 2: Just as bad... Bryant continues to eat Meek's Lunch
Game 3: Bogut's stat line 27 pts, 15 reb, 3 ast, 11 blk triple dub for the Gut! Ellis and Curry ad 20+ each Udoh, 2pts, 14 reb, 1 ast, 1 stl, 11 blk, 0 to
Game 4: Double double by Gut and Bryant held to 9 of 42 on fg attempts
Game 5: Curry and Gut both get double doubles (reb and pts) and Ellis adds 17pts and 7 ast. Unfortunately the team shoots poorly and loses.
Game 6: Curry with the triple double 24pts, 10 reb and 12 ast Bogut 18, 6, 8 blk

| Blog Excerpt: Kept the Coaching staff together after the playoff run. I figure if Nellie can win with Victor, he can win with anyone...
Warriors have the 15th pick in the draft, the 14, 15 and 18th picks in the second round
I accepted a trade from the Nets of thier 2;3 Johan Petro for 2;14 and Charlie Bell
I accepted a trade from the Mavericks of Brandon Rush and James Posey for Johan Petro, Guy Gale (2;18) and Dorell Wright.
In the new tradition of goofy unathletic 7' white centers, We've signed Nenad Krstic.
Will do a write up of the entire team top to bottom in the morning...

| Blog Excerpt: Breakdown of the 2012 Warriors:
Monta Ellis Good shoot first shootiing guard Descent athlete, can handle point guard duties in a pinch. Defense has improved to a reasonable level.
Stephen Curry Great shooter for a point guard. Good on the outside shot and drive. Good rebounder for a point guard and can crash the boards. Good team leader and captain. Plays good defense and tries hard.
Andrew Bogut (Gut) Unathletic 7' white center. Good shooter, great post defender and great rebounder. Franchise cornerstone at center.
Ekpe Udoh Athletic power forward with a great midrange shot and can drive. Has a limited back to basket game. OK defender and good rebounder. Tries hard. Can guard SF as well.
Clarence Rush (rookie SF) (starter) Good 3pt shooter. Also Drives to the basket (both kick out and finish at the rim). Unselfish. Good defender. Good athlete. Not a rebounder.
Michael Wilkins (Rookie PF) (6th man?) Athletic, undersized 4/5. Ok defense, good jumpshot. Good rebounder. Some back to the basket game.
James Posey Tall 2/3 3pt specialist. Plays good defense. ROLE PLAYER.
Brandon Rush 3pt specialist. Plays some D
Marvin Owens (signed from D league last year but did not play) Can shoot, Athletic, ok defense.
Jodie Meeks 3pt specialist. Good defender (though got eaten alive by Kobe). Ok athlete.
Nenad Krstic 7' tall white center. UNATHLETIC. Some B2B game. Ok defense. Ok rebound. signed to 5yrs 8.24m deal.
Jannero Pargo Ok backup pointguard. Shoots too much, but not a terrible shot. Ok Defense, Ok handling.
Rasheed Fuller (second, second round pick. PG) Ok shot. Ok defense, ok handling. Ok athlete. Toast end of bench pg. Uninspiring.
